“You won’t have my hatred”, proclaimed the partner of the policeman killed on the Champs-Elysées.

Le compagnon de Xavier Jugelé a prononcé une allocution émouvante, mardi 25 avril, lors de l’hommage national à ce policier tué le 20 avril à Paris.

The partner of Xavier Jugelé, pronounced during a short emotional speech, today, at the national remembrance of the policeman killed on 20 April in Paris.

Très ému, Etienne Cardiles a prononcé une allocution poignante pour évoquer son compagnon Xavier Jugelé, lors de l’hommage national à ce policier tué sur les Champs-Elysées lors d’une attaque terroriste, mardi 25 avril : “Tu as pris ton service à 14 heures dans cette tenue du maintien de l’ordre dont tu prenais tant soin.” “Ce type de mission, je le sais, te plaisait, parce que c’étaient les Champs et l’image de la France (…) que tu protégeais.”

Etienne Cardiles, full of emotion gave a poignantly short speech about his partner Xavier Jugelé, during the national homage to the policeman killed on the Champs Elysées by an act of terrorism on Tuesday 25 April: “You took up your service at 14h00 on this mission to maintain law and order in which you took good care. This type of mission, I know, you liked because it was the iconic Champs Elysées, the image of France (…) that you protected.”

“Je suis rentré le soir sans toi,” a poursuivi le compagnon de Xavier Jugelé, dans la cour de la préfecture de police où se tenait la cérémonie. “Quand j’ai appris qu’une attaque avait eu lieu sur les Champs-Elysées, qu’un policier avait été tué, j’ai su au fond de moi que c’était toi.”

Car cette haine, elle ne te ressemble pas”, a continué le compagnon du policier tué, avant de revenir sur l’amour de Xavier Jugelé pour la culture, le cinéma et la musique. “A toi, je voudrais te dire que tu resteras dans mon cœur pour toujours. Je t’aime”, conclut Etienne Cardiles. Le compagnon du policier abattu sur les Champs-Elysées termine ce discours émouvant par ces mots : “Veillons à la paix, gardons la paix.”

For hate is not like this”, continued the dead policeman’s partner, before he returned to the love of Xavier Jugelé  for culture, the cinema and music. “To you, I would like to say that you will stay in my heart forever. I love you”, concluded Etienne Cardiles. The partner of the policeman cut down on the Champs Elysées ended his speech movingly with these words: “Rest in peace, keep in peace”.
