Taïwan : un avion de Transasia Airways s’écrase

L’appareil transportait 58 personnes. Il s’est écrasé près de l’aéroport, sur l’île isolée de Penghu. Sans doute à cause du typhon qui balaie la région. Selon le responsable de l’aviation civile de Taïwan, 51 personnes ont été tuées ; le chef des pompiers locaux parle de 45 morts.

L’appareil, un ATR 72 de la compagnie Transasia Airways, effectuait un vol intérieur à Taïwan. Il semble avoir été pris par le typhon Matmo – fortes pluies et vents violents balaient l’île. Et aurait raté son atterrissage d’urgence, sur l’île isolée de Penghu.

L’avion transportait 58 personnes, 54 passagers et quatre membres d’équipage. Selon le responsable de l’administration de l’aviation civile de Taiwan, Shen Chi, 51 personnes ont trouvé la mort, et sept sont blessées. Le chef des pompiers locaux parle, lui, de 45 morts. Et les médias de 47 morts.

Shen Chi a précisé : “La tour de contrôle a perdu le contact avec l’appareil peu de temps après qu’il a demandé un +go-around+ (une deuxième tentative d’atterrissage)”.

Another literary project is that of commemoration of an aircraft crash on Djouce mountain in Wicklow in 1946. Bill wrote articles for the 50th, 60th and most recently the 70th anniversary, (12 Aug 2016) all were published in the Wicklow Times and ensured the survivors of the crash, all French Girl Guides, were not forgotten. But mostly this site gives a more general European and specific French slant on popular and not so popular articles of French news, translated to English by the author. Each article is translated on a paragraph by paragraph basis so easy to read in either language and even possible to improve either language by comparison of the short English and French paragraphs. Amusez vous bien. The author is currently writing an easy to read technical aviation book centered around the Fokker 50.
