Puisseguin : une pièce métallique a “transpercé” un réservoir du camion

Le procureur de Libourne a donné lundi des précisions sur l’accident de Puisseguin (Gironde) qui a fait 43 morts vendredi. Le camion impliqué s’est d’abord “déporté sur la voie de gauche”. Puis sous le choc avec l’autocar, une pièce métallique a “perforé” un de ses réservoirs, provoquant à un embrasement rapide.

The chief official of the police in Libourne gave some more exact details on the accident at Puisseguin (Gironde) near Bordeaux which caused 43 deaths on Friday last. The truck first “moved on to the left lane”. Then under the crash with the bus a piece of metal “perforated” one of it’s fuel tanks, provoking a rapid flareup.   

Que s’est-il exactement passé vendredi matin lors de l’accident de Puisseguin en Gironde ? Le procureur de la République de Libourne a tenu une conférence de presse lundi pour donner de nouveaux élements sur la collision entre un camion et un autocar qui a coûté la vie à 43 personnes. Christophe Auger a expliqué qu'”au stade actuel des investigations, les hypothèses ne portent aucune accusation“. Il a expliqué que le camion s’est “déporté sur la voie de gauche” et que “des traces de freinage laissent supposer que le camion a tenté en vain de redresser la trajectoire“.

What exactly happened on Friday morning during the accident at Puisseguin in Gironde? The chief of the judicial police for Libourne, Christophe Auger, held a news conference today to give the latest elements of the collision between the truck and the bus which cost 43 lives. He explained “at this stage in the investigations, the hypotheses are not carrying any blame”. He also said that the truck had “shifted onto the left lane” and that ” skid marks left supposed that the truck had tried in vain to straighten up”.
