Avec son succès face à Oyonnax (33-19), Grenoble gagne une place au détriment de Bordeaux-Bègles alors que, dans le même temps, Castres est sorti de la zone de relégation au sortir de sa victoire dans l’affiche du bas de tableau face à La Rochelle (30-15). Enfin, Brive a dominé Bayonne (25-9), qui tombe dans la zone rouge. With their success over Oyonnax (33-19), Gronoble have jumped a place at the expense of Bordeaux-Begles, while at the same time, Castres have left the relegation zone due it’s win over bottom table La Rochelle (30-15). Finally Brive beat Bayonne (25-9), putting them into the red relegation zone.

Après la défaite de Bordeaux-Bègles sur la pelouse du Racing-Métro 92, Grenoble n’a pas laissé passer l’occasion de prendre la cinquième place du classement du Top 14. Grâce à quatre essais de Grice, McLeod, Mignot et enfin un essai de pénalité à la 55eme minute, les joueurs grenoblois se sont fait pardonner leur défaite à domicile face au Stade Français avec ce succès bonifié face à Oyonnax (33-19), qui a sauvé l’honneur grâce à un essai de Tian à six minutes de la fin de la rencontre après s’être raccroché à la botte d’Urdapilleta pour exister dans cette rencontre dominée, surtout en deuxième période, par les Grenoblois. Avec ce succès, Grenoble remonte à la cinquième place avec deux points d’avance sur l’UBB et trois de retard sur le Racing. A l’opposé, Oyonnax reste 11eme et laisse Lyon lui passer devant au terme de cette journée.

After the defeat of Bordeaux- Bègles away to Racing-Métro 92, Grenoble didn’t waste any time in taking fifth place of the Top 14. Thanks to four tries by Grice, McLeod, Mignot and finally a penalty try in the 55th minute, the Grenoble players are forgiven for their home defeat to Stade Francais with a bonus point win over Oyonnax (33-19), who saved face with a Tian try six minutes from the end after hanging on thanks to the boot of  Urdapilleta allowing them to stay in the game, dominated, especially in the second half, by Grenoble. This fifth place puts them two points ahead of UBB and three points behind Racing. As opposed, Oyonnax stay in 11th position allowing Lyon to pass them out due to this weekend win at home to Stade.

Sans son buteur Gaëtan Germain, Brive n’aurait sans doute pas dominé Bayonne lors de cette 15ème journée. Avec six pénalités et un essai qu’il a lui-même transformé, l’arrière briviste a marqué l’ensemble des 25 points briviste lors de cette victoire face à Bayonne (25-9), marquée par le sceau du réalisme, surtout en deuxième période. Côté Bayonnais, Loustalot a fait ce qu’il pouvait avec les occasions qu’il a eu au cours de la rencontre. Avec ce succès auquel il ne manque que le bonus offensif, Brive pointe désormais à la huitième place du classement, à deux points de Toulouse et cinq des places qualificatives pour la phase finale, mais aussi avec seulement trois points d’avance sur la zone de rélégation, où Bayonne prend désormais place avec une treizième place.

From Bayonne’s side, Loustalot did his best during the match. With this win all Brive missed was the winning bonus point, but they have got to eight place in the table just behind Toulouse and five places from qualification for the final phase, but yet only three points clear of the relegation zone where Bayonne are, in thirteenth place, and where Castres are just out.

Si Bayonne est relégable, c’est que Castres s’est imposé sur sa pelouse face à l’autre relégable, La Rochelle (30-15). Pour la première fois de la saison, les champions 2013 signent une deuxième victoire consécutive en Top 14. Dès le début de la rencontre, les Castrais prennent les devants avec deux essais dans les vingt premières minutes et un large avantage de 17 points à la mi-temps. Les Castrais ont longtemps pensé tenir le point de bonus offensif mais un essai de Hingano à huit minutes de la fin de la rencontre a permis à La Rochelle de ne pas concéder ce point supplémentaire. Si La Rochelle reste dernier du classement avec trois points de retard sur le premier non-relégable, c’est-à-dire Castres, les Castrais sortent de la zone rouge, une bouffée d’air frais pour le club. Bayonne are relegated,  Castres can thank the win over the other relegation team La Rochelle (30-15). For the first time this season, the 2013 champions mark their second consecutive win in Top 14. From the start of the match Castres went in front with two tries in the first twenty minutes and took a big 17 points lead at half time. Castres thought they would make this a bonus point win but La Rochelle halted their charge with a try of their own by Hingano eight minutes from full time allowing hi steam to not concede the the extra point. If La Rochelle stay in last place three points adrift of the first safe spot above, it must be said that Castres by staying out of the red zone, will breath a huge sigh of relief.
